STATUETTES OF LYING PIGLETS

Description Small animal figurines were very common in tombs from the 7th and early 8th centuries. The two piglets, hollow inside, have long muzzles sloping downwards, straight bristles on their necks and large ears. With the exception of the ears, the entire body is painted black.
