Description
The bent hind legs, the front left leg tensed and the right one raised give the figure of the horse a heightened dynamism. The head is turned to the left and strongly folded towards the powerful neck. The open mouth, dilated froge and muzzle muscles shaped under the skin contribute well to evoking the animal's pounding and nervous neighing. The mane is in flat relief on the right side and the locks are not modeled. The two tufts on the forehead are close to the ears, while the tail is knotted more simply. The saddle is composed of a thick oval caparison extended forward towards the shoulder; on the caparison is a saddle covered with a tied cloth, which falls in thick folds beyond the thigh bone.
