Description
The cylindrical body of this pitcher, slightly narrowed in the middle and rounded at the ends, rests on four feet that resemble stylised legs. A cylindrical neck with a straight opening fits obliquely over one of the two ends of the vessel, which thus takes on the overall shape of a headless quadruped. The handle is shaped like a tiger, clingling to the vessel with its legs spread over it. The broad head with protruding eyes and tongue, as well as the tiger's slender body, are simply modeled and are marked by incised strokes that thicken on the tail.
