Description
This globular
hu
vessel has an expanded shoulder that closes towards the lower foot, which is slightly concave and narrows further towards the base. The curved neck widens towards the opening, doubly shaped and with a slightly recessed hem. The vase is mostly smooth and with the turning lines clearly visible. A single historiated relief band, obtained in a mold, surrounds the upper part of the belly and is delimited by raised fillets: it depicts wild animals running in a rocky landscape and two symmetrical zoomorphic
pushou
masks. Among the animals we can recognize tigers, bears, birds, deer and hares. The vase is entirely covered with a green, dark but bright glaze.
