Description
The triangular blade with a slight central rib is not symmetrical, but has an arched upper edge and a straight lower edge; the tip is blunt. At the bottom it is connected to a thin handle protruding from both ends, which then continues into an almost rectangular tang aligned with the upper side of the blade. In the center of the tang there is a circular through hole that served to fix the wooden handle. The terminal part of the tang, which widens a little’ towards the bottom, is decorated with a half zoomorphic mask centered on the eye: the wide and deep engraving highlights the features of the design, which is framed on three sides by a cable line. The shape of the blade and the decoration of the tang are identical on the other side of the weapon.
