Bell
Provenance: Shanxi, Jin Kingdom, Houma workshops
It is probably the largest piece of a carillon. Nine registers are arranged on each face of the bell, each containing three studs in the shape of a coiled snake. Four horizontal registers are placed between the six studded registers and have a relief decoration with finely chiseled dragon motifs. A similar decoration is present on the wide lower band of the bell. The square ring for suspending the bell arises from two facing felines, made together with the ring from a single thick laminar element.
